I write to you as a youth member, who has been involved in the KZN Tamil Vedic Society (KZN TVS) for the past 20 years.

As a member of the youth that played a role in the planning and execution of the official opening ceremony event, which Devan had criticised, to her I ask the question: why not use your position to applaud the resounding success of this event?

This day saw elderly participants performing to their hearts' content, young pre-schoolers braving the stage and even established musicians, who grew within this organisation, choose to voluntarily contribute their time and skills to growing the legacy of our arts.
