Malcolm MacDonald is the only England player to score five goals in a game at Wembley - in a 5-0 European Championship qualifying win against Malta in April 1975.

Howard Vaughton was the first England player to score five times in a senior international, on his debut in a 13-0 win over Ireland in Belfast in February 1882. He only ever made more four appearances.
