Truck was used to haul ATM out of wall

Police have launched a probe after an audacious heist at a local Coop saw the cash machine “hauled out” of the store with a pickup truck.

Officers were called to the shop on Perth Road in Scone after the alarm was raised at around 3.15am on Sunday.

Cops cordoned off the scene after responding to reports of a break-in and theft of cash from an ATM.

Pictures showed the damage after thugs in a “pickup truck” broke into the store before attaching straps to the cash machine and pulling it out the front of the shop.

Officers could be seen standing guard beside debris, which was scattered across the road.
