Perthshire Advertiser
|February 27, 2026
St Johnstone FC has insisted “dangerous and illegal conduct” should play no part in supporting the Perth club after fans were seen to use flares during their match with Raith Rovers.
-
The Championship club has condemned the actions of individuals during the match on February 20, branding them"dangerous, disappointing, and unacceptable"while promising to hold those fans responsible accountable.
The match was broadcast live on BBC Scotland but was delayed for almost two minutes due to the smoke from the flares.
The game was then halted by the referee until the smoke cleared a number of minutes later.
