Perthshire put in the picture at exhibition

Perthshire landscapes in art from the late 18th century to the present day are explored in a city exhibition which opens this week.

It draws from the permanent collections cared for by Culture Perth and Kinross and explores how the county’s iconic surroundings have been depicted, from romanticised views to modern environmental challenges.

The exhibition, which opens on Friday October 3, features over fifty objects, paintings and maps, including works by artists such as Horatio McCulloch, Katsushika Hokusai, Alexander Nasmyth and JD Fergusson.
