Views sought on Pass of Birnam to Tay Crossing section

Members of the public are being invited to have their say on the proposed Pass of Birnam to Tay Crossing section of the £3 billion A9 dualling project, estimated to cost £427 to £486 million at April 2023 prices.

The Draft Orders - published by Transport Scotland on Friday, May 30 - include a replacement station car park on the other side of A9 from Dunkeld and Birnam Railway Station, a new roundabout at Dunkeld and an underbridge at the Dalguise junction.

Strathtay ward councillor Claire McLaren welcomed the “long-overdue” safety enhancements for the five-mile stretch of the A9.

Public exhibitions are due to take place at Birnam Arts Centre next week on June 11 from 11am to 8pm and on Thursday, June 12 from 10am to 6pm. Members of the public can also now view the exhibition online.
