According to the school's statement, Mofokeng is highly qualified and brings a wealth of experience to the position. He completed his World Rugby Level III coaching qualification in 2024 while coaching at Bishops.

He has coached at the highest school level, leading the Michaelhouse 1st XV and the Kearsney 1st XV before joining Bishops' sports programme. At Bishops, Mofokeng has also coached junior cricket at A-team level and has been involved in senior rugby coaching, acting as the 1st XV interim Head Coach last year.
