The new site for Trinity High is still to be determined

- JACK THOMSON, LOCAL DEMOCRACY REPORTER

School could move from Renfrew roots

Moving Trinity High School from Renfrew to Erskine is an option on the table as the council works on plans for a new-build

Moving Trinity High School from its "roots" in Renfrew to a site in Erskine could result in the loss of its "history, culture and tradition", it has been warned.

Relocating the campus to East Craigend or Barwood are two options under consideration by Renfrewshire Council as it progresses plans fora new-build.

A third potential location is King George V (KGV) playing fields while councillors have requested further detail on the possibility of using land at Netherton Avenue, with the feasibility of a joint campus in mind.

The shortlist will be taken forward to a full business case stage as part of the learning estate strategy after the step was agreed at the education and children's services policy board on Thursday.
