Renfrew loves local businesses

Parliament returned this week and whilst I am looking forward to getting back into the swing of helping the Labour government deliver it’s change agenda, I have enjoyed the summer recess.

It has allowed me greater opportunities to be about in the constituency and meet with people, organisations, and businesses.

Most recently, I was engaging with several local businesses as part of the Scotland Loves Local Week.

One of the firms I visited was in Hillington, the multi-award winning Kilts 4 U, to see the beautiful tartan kilts on display.

I learned about the made-to-measure and kilt hire business and talked with director and owner Iain Carrington, general manager Cat Shields and purchasing manager Selina Carlton.

I really enjoyed meeting Iain and his team to see the range of tartans, accessories, and styles of traditional Scottish attire on offer.
