NHS call for flu vaccine

Renfrewshire parents are being urged to ensure their children are protected against flu this winter.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde paediatricians made the call after 1,874 children were hospitalised in Scotland between October 1, 2024, and March 31, 2025, due to the effects of the virus.
Dr Louisa Pollock, a consultant in paediatric infectious diseases at the Royal Hospital for Children, said: "Flu is more than just a cold.
