Neilston wash away Wishaw in nine-goal rout

Neilston produced a goal rush to demolish Wishaw and reach the fourth round of the West of Scotland League Cup.

Saturday's 9-0 romp at The Beltane was just what the doctor ordered for Andy Whiteford’s Farmer's Boys.

Conor Bolger was a hat-trick hero for Neilston with Dylan Fletcher, Calum Bryan, Mick Lennox, Dom Reilly, Lee Davidson and an own goal completing the scoring for the First Division side.

Thorn Athletic also advanced to round four with victory in a high-scoring Renfrewshire derby with Glenvale.

Thorn, who have appointed Derrick McMillan as their new manager, beat their Third Division opponents 6-3.
