Stephen Robinson admits he has sleepless nights thinking about St Mirren's place in the Premiership table.

The Buddies go into the international break without a victory in five league games.

Saturday night's controversial 3-0 defeat to Hibernian at the SMISA Stadium left Saints stuck in 10th spot.

However, Kilmarnock's 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Celtic on Sunday evening saw Robbo's men elevated to ninth on goal difference.

Not since September 27 - and a 1-0 win at home to struggling Dundee - have the Buddies picked up three points.

And life won't get any easier when the top flight resumes on Saturday, November 22, when reigning champions Celtic pitch up at Greenhill Road.

The showdown will be a dress rehearsal for next month's eagerly-anticipated Premier Sports Cup Final at Hampden.
