Kids get in the swing of it at revamped park

Pupils from a Johnstone primary school gave their refurbished play park a big thumbs up after it underwent a major upgrade.

Primary two pupils at Auchenlodment were given the chance to try out all the new equipment during a visit to the Elm Drive play park.

The makeover aims to provide a fun and welcoming place for young people and families.

The work to improve the park is part of a £424,000 investment that saw Paisley play parks at Braids Road, and Laura's play park in Barshaw Park, renewed.

All three play parks are now open to the public.

Communities were asked to identify the type of equipment they wanted to see in their new play parks.
