Proposals for three extra units on Goudie Street campus

A new secure residential unit for young people could be built in Paisley as Kibble reveals plans for a proposed expansion to its services.

The children’s charity is currently seeking planning permission to build three connected units within its current campus on Goudie Street.

Each unit comprises of four secure bedrooms, staff facilities, a living and dining room, a separate secure kitchen, an accessible bathroom, breakout spaces, a visitor room and secure external courtyard.

The units will be accessed from a common corridor and seek to create a sufficiently secure environment whilst also promoting an atmosphere of well-being and calm.

If approved, the development would see the number of children in secure accommodation on the site increase from 18 to 30.
