Gender guidelines are a disgrace

It should never have fallen on a dedicated, hardworking Scottish nurse with decades of experience to be the one facing down the SNP's insane and dangerous gender ideology.

But now women and girls across the country owe a debt of gratitude to Sandie Peggie, the Fife mother whose simple objection to sharing a changing room with a man has led to one of the most explosive tribunals in recent Scottish legal history.

And while NHS Fife - the shambolic health board who have attempted to trash the record and reputation of the kind of professional who keeps their organisation going, have been rightly slammed for their conduct through this process - the buck stops elsewhere.

The Scottish Government's harebrained scheme to allow people to simply assert their gender has led to a culture whereby some people can behave however they feel, in whichever private space they like.
