The family of a Paisley dad who died after plunging through a "fragile roof" at work "now have justice" after a firm was fined over £180,000.
Ross Hanratty, 28, died in October 2022 after falling through a roof at Seafield Industrial Estate in Edinburgh.
He was working to clear roof gutters on two blocks of warehouses for IPSUM Drainage when he fell 24ft.
Ross, a drainage technician, had not been warned the roof he was cleaning was dangerously fragile so left his safety harness unattached.
He fell through a section of fragile material on the roof and died from his injuries.
The construction company has now been fined £183,000 over the dad-of-two's death after admitting health and safety failings.
Ross' family won a civil action against IPSUM last February and received a six-figure compensation payment in an out-of-court settlement.
