Robbo forced to rip up January transfer plans after injury blows to Ayunga and O'Hara

Stephen Robinson is turning his eye to the transfer market after St Mirren suffered a double injury blow.

Both Jonah Ayunga and Mark O'Hara will be out for at least two months after scans confirmed the devastating news.

Ayunga was forced off in the first half of Tuesday night's 2-1 defeat to Rangers at Ibrox with a hamstring tendon problem.

Meanwhile, skipper O'Hara — who battled his way back from a foot injury — has torn ankle ligaments after a training-ground challenge.

It leaves the Buddies light on midfield options for today's Premiership clash with Motherwell at Fir Park as Keanu Baccus (hamstring) is also a long-term absentee.
