Comedian Fred set for return after cancer battle
Paisley Daily Express
|April 13, 2026
After a tough 2025, legendary comic Fred MacAulay is ready to hit the road for his latest show.
The comedian will bring the laughs to Paisley Arts Centre this autumn - touring the show he planned to bring to audiences last year before a prostate cancer diagnosis stopped him in his tracks.
His battle for recovery forced Fred to cancel his performances, but with doctors optimistic after catching the disease early, he is back doing what he has done best for three decades - giving audiences a giggle.
Fred told the Express: “This is the show I was going to tour in 2025 and it was themed on the fact that everyone has a podcast these days and everyone does a live show from it, but I don't have a podcast.
