Burst pipe in Barrhead causes disruption

Barrhead residents were yesterday left without any water following a burst pipe.

Residents in the East Renfrewshire town reported an interruption to their water supply around 2pm.

The issue affected those living in the G78 Barrhead postcode area.

Around 2.05pm yesterday, Scottish Water issued an alert which stated they were repairing a burst water pipe which was causing the interruption to the water supply for customers in Barrhead.

The burst was located on Diverna Way and caused traffic disruption.

The statement read: “The burst has been located on Diverna Way, please use an alternative route if possible to avoid any potential delays or disruptions.
