Burgh bashed in pre-season friendly
Paisley Daily Express
|July 22, 2025
Johnstone Burgh fell to defeat to Bo'ness United in their final preseason tuneup.
It certainly wasn't the way boss Murdo MacKinnon and his players wished to head into the start of the West of Scotland League (WoSFL) this Saturday.
Burgh were a goal behind after 20 minutes when Bo'ness ace Kieran Mitchell converted a penalty.
The forward tucked neatly home from 12 yards, sending Burgh keeper Luke Scullion the wrong way in the process.
The Lowland League outfit doubled their lead nine minutes later when captain Kyle Johnstone rose above everybody else in the box to head in from a corner.
