Boozed-up lout left kids 'terrified' after urinating in square

Boozed-up Alexander Arrol committed an offence of "public indecency" on September 13 when he relieved himself in the town's Houston Square.

In the process, he exposed himself to a young girl.

The child and her friends later saw the drunk 38-year-old near the town centre and, when they attempted to run away from him, Arrol, of Sycamore Avenue, attempted to chase after them.

The children were able to outrun Arrol and into the safety of their families.

The procurator fiscal depute told Paisley Sheriff Court: "Around 7pm on September 13, the child witness was at Houston Square with friends.

"At this time, they observed the accused, who was visibly under the influence, attempting to sit on a chair and falling over.
