Adoption charity set to celebrate first birthday

Kibble-based unit will continue to help local families grow

A Paisley-based charity has celebrated one year of its adoption agency with plans to help families grow.

Kibble Adoption, a branch of the specialist children’s charity and social enterprise Kibble, recently held its Big Adoption Day.

Designed to shine a light on the adoption journey, the events gave attendees an opportunity to engage directly with the process, challenge common misconceptions, and explore their own readiness to adopt.

Now, reflecting on one year since their launch, Paula Harkins, operations manager at Kibble Adoption, feels there has been huge progression in such a short space of time.

In just one year, the adoption agency has received more than 500 enquiries, with interest coming from people at all different stages of their lives.
