'We feared the worst when workman was snoring...house renovation has been a disaster

A MUM has revealed that a 'snoring builder' was the first indication that their dream home renovation was turning into a nightmare.
Tracy Daly and her partner, Robert Cannon, who have two young children, have been living in challenging conditions for the past year.
They've been sharing a mattress on the living room floor, while their kids sleep on a pull-out sofa bed.
Tracy's mum, Elaine O'Brien, sleeps in a stripped front bedroom with no electricity or heating.
The family spends most of their time in the overcrowded reception room downstairs, which is the only habitable area in the house.
This room serves as their dining, sleeping, working, and playing space - a situation that has persisted for the last 15 months.
An investigation by the Local Democracy Service and our sister paper the Liverpool ECHO has led to three families sharing their experiences after hiring Celsius Home Improvements for their renovation projects
Each family claims to have entrusted their life savings to the company, only to be left with half-completed, derelict properties.
Meanwhile, the company director, Frank Deary, resides in his multi-million pound home in Aughton, West Lancashire.
All the claims made about Mr Deary in this article have been put to him. Specifically, we asked him about Celsius' staff turning up to projects with no materials or plan of works.
Despite numerous efforts to reach him, Mr Deary has not provided any comments for publication, although at one stage he indicated he would do so.
The ordeal for Tracy and her family began in 2023 when Elaine decided to sell her home and invest her life savings - more than £70,000 - into creating a loft extension and 'granny flat' within her daughter's house.
At that time, Kirkby-based Celsius was a member of Fair-Trades - an organisation which includes access to the government-endorsed TrustMark Scheme.
