Lightning strikes claim 3 farmers

Three farmers, including two siblings, were killed and another was rendered critical in separate incidents of lightning strike on farmlands Monday in Tihidi and Khaira areas of Bhadrak and Balasore districts, respectively.
In the first incident, two farmers identified as Madanmohan Moharana, 60, and his younger brother Hrudananda Moharana, 57, were struck by lightning at Chandisahi, Harasinghpur village under Pirhaat police limits and Tihidi block of Bhadrak district. Another injured farmer was identified as Giridhari Mahallick, 64, of nearby Barabatia village.
