Housemaid raped in Rourkela; 1 held

A woman was allegedly raped near the railway tracks under Raghunathpali police station Monday evening. Police have arrested one person and detained other two in connection with the incident.
The rape of the housemaid in Raghunathpali area is yet another disturbing reminder of how safety of women is at stake in the Steel City.
‘The arrested has been identified as Kahnucharan Jena, 32, of Koelbank area. He was produced in court Tuesday evening after he underwent a medical examination. The two other suspects are being interrogated, police said.
