IMD predicts likelihood of low-pressure area over BoB by May 27
Rainfall activity will increase in several parts of the state in the next five days as a low-pressure area is likely to form over the west-central and adjoining Bay of Bengal (BoB) around May 27, the India Metrological Department (IMD) said Sunday.
However, there is no need to panic as there is no forecast for a cyclone, the weather bureau said. According to an IMD bulletin, increased rainfall along with thunderstorm and lightning will occur in several part of the state during May 25 to 31.
