5 criminals killed, dozens injured since Oct 1: Cops

Since October 1, Delhi has witnessed at least 10 encounters between police and criminals, resulting in the deaths of five criminals and the arrest of over a dozen.

These operations were part of a sustained crackdown targeting organized crime networks and habitual offenders operating in Delhi and neighboring states. Police have emphasized that many of the arrested criminals had a history of using firearms and displaying them on social media to intimidate rivals.

On October 2, two members of the Rohit Godara-Goldy Brar-Virender Charan gang were arrested after a gunfight in Jaitpur-Kalindi Kunj Road. The accused, Rahul and Sahil from Haryana, were allegedly contracted to kill a social media influencer. Rahul, wanted for a triple murder in Yamunanagar, was injured during the exchange of fire.
