‘We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves’

REMEMBER watching many a western film with my Grandad in the 1970s and 80s ona Saturday afternoon, and in the little village chapel they would often be singing the song “Bringing in the Sheaves".

Like the westerns | used to watch, we too have gathered in this year's harvest which was a bumper year for fruit and vegetables due to the long, warm summer.

We've received many donations at our harvest festival at church which have gone to our local food bank.

The days of summer are over and the autumn days are here leading to the winter days getting shorter as we fast approach Christmas. | don't know about you, but the lack of sunlight can really get to me and that’s before | turn the news on.
