There's no need for boredom this summer holiday
Nottingham Post
|August 02, 2025
THE summer holidays are under way and while it’s great for the kids, it can be a headache for parents trying to keep them entertained for the next six weeks.
The good news is there’s plenty of activities across Nottinghamshire with summer fun - some free and others with a cost attached.
Attractions with an admission charge are usually cheaper if you plan your visit and book online rather than turning up on the day and paying at the gate.
If you're lacking inspiration or don’t have the time to search the internet to find out what's happening near you, we've put together a few ideas to help.
TRAMPOLINE FUN
For endless fun, the RedKangaroo trampoline park in Nottingham has launched an affordable way for the kids to burn off energy all summer long. A £30 Passport to Play gives unlimited access to more than 280 hour-long sessions, working out around 10p per visit.
Families can have fun with the Hero Crew whilst they take to the skies on interconnected trampolines, the UK’s tallest indoor drop slide, tons of inflatables, dodgeball courts, a wipeout game, a ninja obstacle course and a 20m tumble track.
Sessions at the trampoline park in Dabell Avenue, Bulwell, can be booked between 11am-6pm every day of the break, with passport holders able to book as many as they like each day. Passport To Play holders can also bag themselves a 20 percent discount on the summer beach party on Friday August 1 from 6-8pm - which promises to be a night of neon colours, epic beats and electric energy, with funky beach party vibes.
