Search for victim in recreation ground assault inquiry

POLICE are searching for a woman who reported she was assaulted and had her bag stolen in the Forest Recreation Ground in Gregory Boulevard.

They are also looking for a man who they believe tried to intervene and may have vital information on the incident, which happened at about 1am on Tuesday, August 12.

Police issued the appeal after the woman reported the incident to a member of security staff but left before police arrived. Her identity is unknown.
