SAM Slocombe is one of four Notts County players who helped the Magpies return to the Football League in 2023 to leave the club this summer.

The goalkeeper, who is also the Magpies’ longest-serving player hav-ing signed back in 2019, is joined by triumphant National League Play-Off Final team-mates Kyle Cameron, Sam Austin and Adam Chicksen in not being offered new deals at Meadow Lane upon the expiry of their current contracts in the next few weeks.

Cameron and Chicksen’s departures are more of a formality, however, with both having spent last season away on loan at Barrow and Woking.

Attacking midfielder Charlie Whitaker, goalkeeper Tyler Miller and defender Robbie Cundy are also being released by the League Two club.
