Pub plan unveiled for new estate

A NEW Nottinghamshire pub that residents of a huge housing development have been waiting years for is finally moving forward.

The masterplan for Chase Farm, a 1,000-home development on the former Gedling Colliery, was passed more than nine years ago and the large-scale project has completely transformed the old pit.

But for years now homeowners have awaited news on the pub they were once promised was part of the plans, with some coming to the conclusion that it would never be built. However, it now appears their prayers have been answered, as a planning application has been submitted to Gedling Borough Council for a pub, drive-thru and three light industrial units to be constructed off Colliery Way, east of the estate.
