MCGOLDRICK'S PARTING MESSAGE

"I'LL still be a fan and watching from afar or in the stands for years to come.

Those were the words of David McGoldrick over the weekend after it was revealed the striker would be leaving Notts County following a two-year stay at Meadow Lane.

The 37-year-old, known affectionately as 'Didzy' returned to the club he supports and where he began his career back in 2004 during the summer of 2023, following his release from Derby County and the Magpies winning promotion to the Football League.

In 72 appearances McGoldrick scored 30 goals in all competitions, with his efforts helping Notts consolidate their spot in League Two and then helping them to a sixth-place finish and spot in the end-of-season play-offs during the campaign just gone.
