SLICES OF ANARCHY - WITH COCKTAILS - ON CITY NIGHT OUT

- By LYNETTE PINCHESS

Pizza the action for our punk rebellion at the dinner table

Inside Pizza Punks in Fletcher Gate

IF you think pineapple on pizza is a foodie sin, you ain’t seen anything yet. Pizza and macaroni cheese — there’s nothing wrong with either of them separately but rolled into one?

It had to be tried, so I headed to Pizza Punks’ Nottingham restaurant in Fletcher Gate for a slice of anarchy. It is one of the new crazy additions to the venue's menu.

If you've never been, it is the edgiest in a city bursting with excellent pizzerias, from New York-style to Neapolitan.

Graffitied walls in a spacious industrial-style setting bask in the warm glow of red neon lights with slogans such as “no rules, no forks” and “eat your pizza, make some trouble” (more on those later).

Even though it’s a school night, we cave in and order cocktails from a list with both tried and tested and not-so-familiar names.

The Hot Honey Margarita (£9) sounds like it could be good for a cold. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.
