Paterson: Draw is a useful reminder on need for focus

UNBEATEN RUN CONTINUES BUT BOSS ISSUES WARNING
MARTIN Paterson does not want Notts County to become complacent in any way following a strong run of form in League Two, with their performance last weekend raising concerns.
The Magpies boss felt his team were not at the races in the first half against a depleted Harrogate Town squad in the middle of an injury crisis.
Second-half amendments made a difference and Notts grabbed a point at the last moment with Matthew Dennis’ stoppage-time penalty in the 1-1 draw.
Notts have not lost a League game since September, so Paterson could not be too upset as his team preserved their unbeaten run last Saturday.
However, it was a reminder to all the players to stay focused.
“There are times when we've really got to push people to go 1v1 and make plays,” said Paterson.
