NUNO Espirito Santo hopes injured striker Taiwo Awoniyi will have the opportunity to be around his Nottingham Forest team-mates for their final game of the season.

The Nigeria international sustained a serious abdominal injury when he collided with a post in the final minutes of last Sunday's 2-2 draw with Leicester City. He is currently recovering in hospital having been woken from an induced coma on Wednesday evening after undergoing two operations.

His Reds team-mates have been in contact with the forward, and Nuno hopes to visit him in the near future. The Forest boss is also hopeful of being able to welcome Awoniyi back Trentside in some capacity next week, ahead of a potentially decisive match with Chelsea.
