AMY Hunt knew it would take a personal best to reach a World Championship final over 200 metres so that is exactly what she did.

New PB keeps Amy in hunt for 200m glory

Not only that, the 23-year-old claimed the third fastest time for the final and has no intention of stopping there.

While she reached both the European and world 60m finals indoors earlier this year, Hunt's favourite event has always been the 200m.

And having missed out on the final over 100m earlier this week by just three hundredths of a second, she was taking no chances this time around, running 22.08 seconds, dropping her best by six hundredths.

She said: “I'm super over the moon, it’s job done.
