Mum lured men to home where masked robber lay in wait with a baseball bat

A 32-YEAR-OLD Nottingham mum “acted as the bait” when she lured two vulnerable men to an address where both were subjected to terrifying robberies by a masked man wielding a baseball bat.

On both occasions - within a few days of each other - Danielle Summers befriended the victims online, told them stories of having no money and, when they were sitting in the living room, left the room at which point her accomplice entered, threatened them with the weapon and stole their cash.

A man was identified and faced trial but the judge ruled partway through that there was insufficient evidence for the jury to convict him and ordered them to return not guilty pleas.

But Summer's trial continued and she was found guilty of two counts of robbery.
