MGW focused on Forest despite City talk - Nuno

NUNO Espirito Santo appears to have aimed a dig in Manchester City's direction amid their interest in Nottingham Forest ace Morgan Gibbs-White.

The Reds star is on City's radar ahead of the summer window as they seek a replacement for the departing Kevin De Bruyne. Recent national reports have suggested a deal is “progressing”, with transfer guru Fabrizio Romano stating personal terms are not expected to be an “issue”.

Forest have no desire to let the playmaker leave but it remains to be seen what would happen if a significant offer does come in. Amid all the transfer talk, it did not go unnoticed by staff members at the club that City boss Pep Guardiola made a beeline for Gibbs-White after his team’s FA Cup semi-final victory over Nuno's men last month.

“Normally, me personally, I think during the competition it is not healthy to speak or to approach other players of other teams,” said Reds head coach Nuno when asked whether the speculation could prove a distraction for the England international at such a crucial stage of the season.
