PALMER HOPING TO DELIVER PROMOTION FOR THE FANS
MATT Palmer says he has been constantly learning during his first season as Notts County captain of Notts County.
The Magpies were defeated by AFC Wimbledon over two legs in the League Two play-off semi-finals, with Johnnie Jackson’s side going on to win the final against Walsall at Wembley and gain promotion to League One.
Notts’ form petered out towards the end of the regular season. They missed out on automatic promotion on the final day and were not able to claw back any positive momentum for the play-offs.
Having come back from a long-term injury at the start of the season, Palmer returned as club captain and went on to start 39 of Notts’ 46 League games.
While this campaign did not end with the desired result, he took much from the captaincy.
