LABOUR AND REFORM IN ONLINE SPAT
MANSFIELD’S MP says he remains open to “serious, professional communications” after he chose to block Lee Anderson on social media amid a row over potholes.
Steve Yemm, who has served as Labour's representative for Mansfield since 2024, has also blocked the Reform UK leader of Nottinghamshire County Council.
Mr Yemm has stepped up campaigning on the state of Nottinghamshire’s roads in recent weeks, using Prime Minister's Questions to raise the tragic case of 87-year-old Beryl Barrett, who died on Christmas Day after falling in an unrepaired pothole a week earlier.
The Mansfield MP has also set up a petition calling for further action on the issue of potholes and said the county council should look at buying JCB machines to repair them quicker.
