BENNETTS IS HOPING FOR STABILITY WITH MAGPIES

NOTTS County's Keanan Bennetts has had a unique footballing journey compared to most EFL players, which has shaped him in distinct ways, both as a footballer and a person.

The 26-year-old was born in London to a German mother and a Nigerian father, receiving his football education at Tottenham Hotspur for the majority of his academy career before establishing himself as a professional in Germany and Austria.

He made a handful of appearances for Borussia Mönchenglad-bach’s first team, also playing for Darmstadt and SV Wehen Wiesbaden in Germany before moving over the southern border to Austria Klagenfurt earlier this calendar year.

He also had a productive loan spell back in England with Ipswich Town in League One while he was still at Gladbach, returning to his country of birth this summer for a permanent move to the Magpies as a free agent. He impressed on trial in the summer while the Magpies were in a preseason camp in Germany and has made 17 appearances in all competitions since joining.
