Journalists to hold vigil for reporters killed since start of Gaza conflict

JOURNALISTS in Nottingham are organising a vigil in memory of reporters killed in Gaza.

Members of the Nottingham branch of the National Union of Journalists (NUJ) have organised the event, which will take place on Monday at 5.30pm in Station Street, near Nottingham Railway Station.

Members will read out the names of journalists who have been killed in Gaza since the conflict with Israel began in October 2023.

At least 233 journalists and media workers have been killed in the past 22 months of the war, according to the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ).
