Group's musical taking first Steps in city

IT worked for Abba and now the hugely successful pop group Steps are putting some of their best-loved songs into an original musical which star member Claire Richards promises will be two hours of joyful escapism.

With 22 million record sales, 500 million streams and four number one albums, Steps have a lot of material to sift through.

The book is by Shaun Kitchener, a playwright with plenty of success on his CV, and produced by the band with legendary hitmaker Pete Waterman.

Here And Now is set in a seaside superstore where it's Friday night and everyone is dancing in the aisles, but central character Caz discovers the shelves are stocked with lies and betrayal.
