Firms on trial after Jason's nuclear power station death

A TRIAL date has been set as three companies pleaded not guilty following the death of a Nottinghamshire father at a nuclear power station.

Jason Waring had been working as a supervisor at EDF Energy's Hinkley Point C (HPC) near Bridgwater, Somerset, since 2018 when the incident happened on November 13, 2022.

According to the company, the “construction traffic incident” occurred during “planned work activities” at the nuclear power station.

At Bristol Magistrates’ Court on Monday, NNB Generation Company (HPC) Ltd (NNB GenCo), Bouygues Travaux Publics SAS and Laing O'Rourke Delivery Limited pleaded not guilty to health and safety offences after his death.
