SUPPORTER SINCE 1968 LEFT UPSET BY CLUB ‘TURFING HIM OUT’
A NOTTINGHAM Forest fan says he has been made to feel “worthless” by the club after he was forced to move seats to make way for a new hospitality section.
Mark Cawkwell, who has sat in his Trent End Lower seat for 15 years, is one of 159 season ticket holders who are being permanently relocated to other parts of the City Ground from the next game.
The 65-year-old, who went to his first Reds game in 1968, attends along with his brother-in-law, who has special needs. They have yet to be told where they will be sitting for the October 18 fixture against Chelsea.
“It’s a total mess. I know people who can’t get three seats together and they've sat there for God knows how many years,” he said. “All them years. I feel disconnected from them - we all do. The club didn’t consult us about any of this.
