Delilah captivates food award judges

A FOOD lovers’ paradise in Nottingham is celebrating a triple win in a prestigious national competition.

Delilah Fine Foods fought off competition from other top-class businesses across the UK - including one run by celebrity chef Rick Stein - at the 2025 Farm Shop and Deli Awards.

Having won best retailer in the Midlands and best deli in the UK, the shop, in Victoria Street, went on to take the overall crown for UK retailer of the year. The success couldn’t have come at a better time, with the business celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

The judges described the shop as “stunning” and “an inspiration to all in retail, hospitality and service.” Last November Fortnum & Mason in London hosted the judging day, where a panel of judges came together for a day of deliberations. Hundreds of entries were whittled down to just 52 in categories including best butcher, village store, farm shop and online business across seven UK regions.

An institution for Nottingham’s foodies, Delilah’s is packed floor to ceiling with thousands of delicious things to eat and drink.
