A SUBURBAN pub could be demolished to make ways for homes.

The Mill, on Bagnall Road, Basford, could be replaced by nine houses, according to plans submitted to Nottingham City Council.

The pub was put on sale for £350,000 in February last year following a period of difficult trading.

A planning officers' report to councillors describes it as a "derelict site" which is currently vacant.

The area of the site is about 2,500 square metres and comprises the pub and its surrounding car park. The plans show six three-bedroom semi-detached homes could be built, as well as three four-bedroom detached ones.

The semi-detached homes would have single parking spaces, while the detached ones would have two spaces each, plus an garage.
