Christian centre plan for site of former micro bar

AIM TO OPEN IN JANUARY IF COUNCIL AGREES

A NEW Christian community centre on the site of a former micro bar could open in the new year if plans are approved by the council.

Tony Suthers, administrator of the Christian Science Society in Nottingham, applied to Gedling Borough Council in early August to change the use of the property in Croft Road, Arnold, into the centre, including a bookshop, reading room and library, a contemplative place and a place of worship.

The address was previously occupied by the Saxton Micro-Bar, opened in November 2022 by two sisters after the Brown Bird Bakery closed earlier that month.
