A GROUP of Peak District cavers spent more than seven hours stuck underground, prompting a large response from emergency services.

Derbyshire Cave Rescue Organisation (DCRO) were called to the entrance of Ringing Rake Sough, an old mine with a lidded shaft in Matlock, after unsuccessful attempts by other cavers to contact a group of explorers.
